Because of a dreadful slice and a
precictable score I gave up on golf twenty-five years ago. However, a
couple of years back my son got bit by the golf bug and enticed me to
take it up again. I soon discovered that old habits never die easily. I
made up my mind that I would either fix the slice or quit for good.
I soon discovered that my golf equipment
left something to be desired. My old-styled clubs and mustard-colored
vinyl golf bag embarrassed whoever I went golfing with ... especially my
son. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for equipment because I
didn't know how committed I was going to be.
That's when I discovered Pinemeadow
Golf on the internet. I saw
that they specialize in building quality golf clubs that resemble and
function like name-brand products (knock-offs) ... but at a much lower
price! I bought a full set of irons for a couple-hundred-bucks that
would've cost four times as much from a name-brand company. Then I
bought a driver for a hundred bucks that would've cost four or five
hundred.
With good equipment, good magazines and the
Golf Channel it wasn't long until I straightened out my drive. It's not
always "down the middle" but it goes straight most of the time ...
instead of fading heavily to the right. After making up my mind that I
was going to be committed to the game until I become a public menace, I
bought another club from Pinemeadow
Golf, the "Doublewall
Driver" (their Proprietary product). I'm
now cracking drives 250 yards or better on a fairly regular basis. On
occasion I'll send one up to three hundred yards. That's not bad
considering that I'm getting to be an old duffer. Because of a violent
slice I never could hit a ball much over 200 yards before ... even when
I was younger and stronger.
Anyhow, now that I've worked some of the
bugs out of my golf swing it's more satisfying to get out on a golf
course. Part of the satisfaction that I feel comes from owning quality
equipment manufactured by a quality company... Pinemeadow
Golf.
